Property was romantic, with attentive staff and incredible location to the metro station where you can have an easy access to Istanbul. Had a savoury breakfast with views of the Blue Mosque and figs, for instance.

Not exactly what I expected
Great location near major sights, with friendly and accommodating staff making our stay comfortable. The gorgeous Barocco style ambiance added a unique charm to our experience.
Breakfast quality was disappointing with limited variety, and the noise levels from the busy street affected our sleep quality quite a bit.

Great value for money. Clean and with a very friendly staff who spoke english well. Nice rooftop breakfast included. Real drip brew coffee! The only drip brew we saw in 2 1/2 weks in Turkey. We stayed in two other hotels on this trip that were less than a block away from the Romatic and would go back again in spite of the negatives. Again, best value for money allowing us to spend our $ on the sites.Location allows one to walk to most of the major atractions.
Very small rooms. We spend 95% of our time out of the room so it wasn't that much of an issue for us.

The staff at this hotel are fantastic! They were very helpful. We are a family of six and we stayed in a joining room on the second level. It was a good fit for our family. The best part of our stay was the friendly staff at the hotel. Thank you to all for treating us so well! We will be back.

Charming ambiance and unique decor capture the essence of a cozy stay. Rooftop views provide a lovely backdrop for morning meals with a good selection of fresh breakfast items.
Noise from outside can be a concern, typical for a tourist hotspot. Limited storage space with just one narrow cupboard for clothes may not be ideal for longer stays. Some furniture feels outdated, hinting at an authentic yet worn aesthetic.

Very friendly staff and a great location near all of the sites in the old town. Also very close to a row of wonderful restaurants.

I liked the fact that it was in a very quiet area, and it was within walking distance of some main attractions, such as Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, the big Palace, and the Markets. They were knowlegable on where to reccomend us to go and always called a taxi for us. We were upgraded to the family room because they were not fully booked, so that was nice to have the exra space. Rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable.
Well, this time it was only my husband and I, but if we would have been with our 3 small kids I would not have wanted to stay there. The rooms are very tiny( perfect for just us) but we were staying in the family room and the the other room basically served as a place for our luggage and coats. Could not imagine having the whole family in there.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Romantic Hotel. We were warmly welcomed with each coming and going and our needs were immediately met. The location of the hotel is also ideal, and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning breakfasts (included in price) on the top floor with superb views of the water and old town. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good deal, a great location and superior staff.

The romantic suite offered a magnificent view and unique vintage decor.
Unfortunately, the sewer smell coming from the shower was quite disturbing, which hindered our overall experience. We also found the noise levels from the busy street to be quite bothersome, affecting our restful nights. Limited storage space in the room.

Great hospitality. The hotel's staff was always helpful and kind. We had the Dolmabahce Suite which we warmly reccomend since the room enjoys a spectacular view over the Marmara sea. The hotel is located in the Sultanahmet area and nearby some key attractions of Istanbul (i.e. Topkapi). All in all very good value for money.

I was so looking forward to my stay, but the sewer smell comin from the shower was really alarming, and who thought broken toilet seats was acceptable? With all that, i thought a complimentary gesture was a given, but clearly, i woudl ve been mistaken. Just couldn't give a good review this time.
